Computer Support Specialist

This program prepares students to install, configure, secure, and troubleshoot computers, mobile devices, and basic networks in today’s workplace. Students learn hands-on skills in hardware, operating systems, software, and customer support while practicing real-world help desk scenarios. The American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Provider Course builds on Basic Life Support (BLS) skills to prepare healthcare professionals to manage cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This advanced, hands-on course emphasizes high-quality CPR, early defibrillation, airway management, effective team dynamics, and evidence-based resuscitation care according to the 2020 AHA Guidelines.

Participants will learn to:

  • Perform high-quality BLS and integrate AED/defibrillator use

  • Recognize and manage respiratory arrest and cardiac arrest

  • Identify and treat bradycardia and tachycardia

  • Apply ACLS algorithms for VF/pVT, PEA/asystole, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes

  • Demonstrate effective communication as a member or leader of a high-performance resuscitation team

  • Provide post–cardiac arrest care, including targeted temperature management

The course includes interactive case discussions, megacode simulation testing, and a written exam. Successful completion results in an AHA ACLS Provider course completion card valid for two years.

Our 6-week, 104-hour course combines online and in-person instruction with a clinical externship. It equips students with the skills needed to perform phlebotomy procedures and become Phlebotomy Technicians. The curriculum covers circulatory system anatomy, venipuncture techniques, and lab procedures. Students learn patient prep, communication, infection control, and safety. The externship offers real-world experience. Completion prepares students for certification as Certified Phlebotomy Technicians. Ideal for healthcare career starters or professionals seeking skill enhancement. Successful completion grants eligibility for the NHA certification exam.

This 18-week, hybrid course is a combination of online and in-person instruction and provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform as a Patient Care Technician in a healthcare setting.  The course curriculum will cover anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, patient care, and laboratory procedures. Students will also learn about phlebotomy, electrocardiography, and patient care coordination, as well as infection control and safety protocols.

The in-person component of the course will provide students with hands-on experience in a clinical setting, allowing them to apply the concepts they have learned and gain practical experience performing patient care procedures.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the National Healthcare Association's Patient Care Technician (CPCT) certification exam. This course is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in healthcare or for current healthcare professionals looking to enhance their skills.


                                                 

In this module, you will complete a review for the Prometric Exam.  

In this course, the student will gain the knowledge in the composition of medical terminology. The student will learn the parts of medical terminology and be able to define and recognize their meaning. 
                                                            

This 4-week, 80-hour course is a combination of online and in-person instruction and provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures and become an Electrocardiography Technician.  The course curriculum will cover anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, basic electrophysiology, ECG procedures, and equipment usage. Students will also learn about ECG interpretation and identifying abnormal ECG patterns, as well as patient preparation, communication, and safety protocols.

The in-person component of the course will provide students with hands-on experience in a clinical setting, allowing them to apply the concepts they have learned and gain practical experience performing ECG procedures.  Upon completion of the course, students will be prepared to take a certification exam and become a Certified Electrocardiography Technician (optional). This course is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in healthcare or for current healthcare professionals looking to enhance their skills.
